SPORTS MASSAGE

Sports massage is designed to assist in correcting problems and imbalances in soft tissue that are caused by repetitive and strenuous physical activity and trauma. The application of sports massage prior to, and post-exercise, may enhance performance, aid recovery and prevent injury.

SWEDISH MASSAGE

Swedish massage therapy works on the soft tissues and muscles in the body to help restore their balance and health. A Swedish body massage is a perfect way for anyone who is overly worked and stressed out to relax their body and mind.

MAINTENANCE / REHABILITATION MASSAGE

Maintenance massage increases the flow of blood and nutrients to the muscles, it also helps reduce the development of scar tissue while increasing flexibility and range of motion. Regular sports massage helps with your training/exercise regime and maintain the muscles flexibility and performance by reducing the effects of DOMs (delayed onset muscle soreness). It does this by helping repair any small tears in the soft tissue caused by training and exercise, reducing lactic acid and increasing blood flow to enable the body to repair itself quicker.

PRE EVENT MASSAGE

Helps to warm up the muscles, stretching them and making them flexible for optimal athletic performance. A pre-event massage stimulates the flow of blood and nutrients to the muscles, reduces muscle tension, loosens the muscles, and produces a feeling of psychological readiness.

POST EVENT MASSAGE

Post-event sports massage helps reduce the swelling caused by micro-traumas, loosens tired stiff muscles, helps maintain flexibility, promotes blood flow to the muscle to remove lactic acid and waste build-up, and reduces cramping. In addition, post-event massage helps speed the athlete's recovery time and alleviates pulls, strains, and soreness.
